In the last issue of Lincolnshire in Focus I wrote a feature about the history of Easter; like most people, I had heard of an egg symbolising fertility and new life but I hadn't really thought about it in more detail, such as why do we have chocolate eggs? Where did the Easter Bunny come from? And why is Easter not on a set weekend? It turns out that Easter can be dated back to pagan festivals, it took centuries to decipher a date and the Easter Bunny is European?!
If you have found yourself a little more intrigued, then you can read my feature in its entirety here! (Just click on the image and wait for the magazine to load).
Hope you like it and I hope you all enjoy the rest of your bank holiday!
