Happy Easter!

Are we all stuffed from all those chocolate eggs yet? I know I am! I hope you're all enjoying this glorious sunshine and making the most of this long weekend!

In the last issue of Lincolnshire in Focus I wrote a feature about the history of Easter; like most people, I had heard of an egg symbolising fertility and new life but I hadn't really thought about it in more detail, such as why do we have chocolate eggs? Where did the Easter Bunny come from? And why is Easter not on a set weekend? It turns out that Easter can be dated back to pagan festivals, it took centuries to decipher a date and the Easter Bunny is European?!

Oh, how time flies....

Where has the time gone? It only seems like yesterday I was posting about the return on 'The Only Way is Essex' - turns out that was nearly a month ago! Once again, I have been a very busy girl, both at work and in my personal life too, which means I haven't had much time for tweeting or blogging, but on the bright side I happen to LOVE my life at the minute! I am still bingo-ing, zumba-ing and catching up with friends, but I have also been spending a lot of time with a special someone (find him on twitter @ultimatecoddy - follow him because at the minute he has no friends! ;) ) so I think it's safe to say that at the minute I am a very happy girl!

Even though Twitter and blogging may have taken a back seat lately, I feel very happy with the way my personal life has been heading, and if any one of you remember, this was something to work on as a part of my New Year's Resolutions. And as I said, I have been VERY busy at work lately; I have been working very hard on the Lincolnshire Show issue of Lincolnshire in Focus (see April's issue online here!) and I think it is going to look FANTASTIC! We are even having a contribution from the wonderful Hannah at DREAMWALL (@DREAMWALLS) - prepare for lots of shameless, promotional tweets! Now I am working on the other three publications which are due in the next three weeks - eek! The hard work hasn't stopped just yet, so even if I do happen to go quiet again for a short while, I promise it won't be for long!
