Oh, how I can not wait for this film to come out in cinemas!
On Friday, I finished reading The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald; it is not my usual type of book but I was intrigued by the images surfacing on the internet from the filming of the movie - Leonardo Dicaprio, 1920s, Art Deco, Baz Luhrmann, sounds like my perfect film! I get too excited just thinking about it!

A friend told me (and I read somewhere) that if you haven't read this book yet, you must, so of course this made me want to read it even more. I downloaded it on DC's Kindle and it cost only 49p (get it now!) and it is the first book I have really gotten into in a good while.
I won't go into too much detail but the story follows Nick, a man moving from the west to New York in the early 1920s where he becomes tied up in his mysterious neighbour's world. Enter lots of fabulous parties, love stories, affairs and deaths - intriguing, isn't it?! It is written in a very descriptive way which I found distracts from the storyline (but only sometimes!) so now I have read the book once, I want to read it again so I can really appreciate it. Only this time, I will buy the hardback version - won't it look pretty on my shelf?
|Available from WH Smith, £10.49|
Unfortunately, we have to wait until Boxing Day for the film to be released but I truly hope it is worth the wait - Baz and Leo together again a la Romeo and Juliet? Somehow, I think it will be!
