Have you ever wondered what the people you spend hours tweeting with are like in real life? Or ever thought about meeting? Many organisations hold networking events and conferences specifically for people who communicate on sites such as Twitter and Linkedin, but unfortunately, many of these 'Tweet Ups' happen in the big cities; London, Manchester, Newcastle, which is a shame for the people (like me) who work full-time and just can't seem to get there.
Well, fellow Yellowbellies and Grimbarians, now we can all get in on the action thanks to the second Great Grimsby Tweet Up!
The event will be taking place on Monday 24th September at Upstairs at Abby's, in Abbeygate. This is the second of its kind and is hosted by three of the town's marketing companies; Red Zebra Solutions, Laser Red and Kinetic Marketing and Design. Together, they will provide workshops on social media - from the basics for beginners to SEO and Google Analytics tips for the more advanced - as well as networking opportunities over a delicious buffet (and drinks from the fully stocked bar!)
Here's a quick look at the workshops:
If you run your own company then this will be a great opportunity to network, or if you'd simply like to learn more about social media - for yourself or business - then I would highly recommend attending. I went to the first event back in March purely because I was curious to see how 'tweet ups' work and now I am signed up to attend this meet. It costs £10 plus a booking fee from Event Brite, and you can find more information on the Great Grimsby Tweet Up website (which was designed and built by John Shaw of Laser Red; you can follow him here.)
If you are coming along, I will see you there!
