I managed to pick up a couple of bargains, one of which was this - Magic Snow. I know, it sounds naff! And to be perfectly honest, the packaging makes it look that way too, but we were both persuaded by the demonstration video on the top of the retail display and so we bought some - each.
So what is it?
Bottom line - it's fake snow; something to sprinkle over your Christmas tree and use as part of a seasonal display, but you add water to make the powder look like the real thing. It was only £2.50 so I had to give a try...
Firstly you put the white powder, which feels a bit like sand (small and sharp), into a bowl and then you add 10x the amount of water.
Give it a good mix and you will see 'snow' expand before your eyes...

See how fluffy and white it is? I was really, really impressed! (Is that sad?) The packet also suggests putting the 'snow' into the freezer for a while just to add an extra snowy feel.
Finally, we sprinkled this over the branches of our tree and voila!
My only advice; if you want a full 'snowed-on' effect, you will need a more tubes of the Magic Snow as one on our 7ft tree only just shows up. Also, you will need to spray the Magic Snow with water every couple of days just to keep it fresh, otherwise it dehydrates. But overall, for £2.50, I think it was worth the try!
