Toasted marshmallow strawberries

I know I've been a little quiet again recently, but I still don't think I'm quite back to my usual self just yet - I'm enjoying some personal time away from the computer (and hatching new blog plans, mwahaha!) So please bear with me, I really appreciate everyone's support with this blog!

One thing I did do last night was make a ridiculously sickly yet delicious dessert with DC that I saw on Pinterest - toasted marshmallow strawberries! Luckily I had the ingredients at home so I gave it a try.

All you need is...

Marshmallow Fluff and strawberries (I'm ashamed to say these aren't from the market this time!)

And you simply...

And then you...

Delicious! So naughty, but so good!

My one word of warning though is that, if you use a fork, be careful when dipping the strawberry into the fluff; it may get stuck and then, as DC described it, it is like a strawberry massacre trying to get it out! I have a strawberry flavoured fluff which I received at work, but a plain version is also available which I imagine would be just as tasty.

I've also finally downloaded the Picfx app - it took me absolutely ages to choose filters on Instagram, and now I'm stuck for even more choice! But doesn't the last image look fab?

I am going to be quiet this weekend too; I am attending one of my best friend's wedding and I can not wait! I intend to be very hungover on Sunday so if you do not hear from me, that's why!

Do any of you lovely readers have any quick and easy, but yet scrummy desserts to try? And what do you think to this? For people with an incredible sweet tooth (like me!), I highly recommend it!

Nails: Rimmel Tangy Tangerine

Yesterday I took a little trip to Superdrug to stock up on some necessities - hairspray, hair mousse, dry shampoo - then I came across this little bargain; three Rimmel Long Lasting polishes for £6... yes, three for £6! So of course, I had to indulge...

1. Shade 750 Tangy Tangerine 2. Shade 280 Sunshine 3. Shade 500 Disco Ball

Now that the sun has FINALLY found its way back to us, I'm definitely feeling in the mood for some summery pastel shades. This is what I've chosen to wear first (but please excuse the mess!) I did find that I needed a few coats for the colour to really take, but at three for £6, you can't go wrong!

My Pinteresting Fortnight (12)

Here's what I've been pinning lately!

I think I should just rename my food board - it's just full of gooey, chocolately goodness!

As always, here are the randoms... (and the late pin is so true for me!)

Lots of fashion love too - the casual denim shirt teamed with a lace skirt and I adore this nighttime look! Also, the detailing on the top in picture three is beautiful!

Of course, there has been sone fun nail art again - I definitely want to give the first style a try; it's quie art deco, don't you think?

For the home... one day...

And last, but definitely not least, some adorable puppies!

P.S. You can follow me on Pinterest here!

*Scribbler's Graduation Cards

I can't believe it's graduation season AGAIN! This time last year I was blogging about how quickly time had gone since my graduation ceremony the year before...

If you have a friend or a loved one who is graduating this year, then getting them a little something for their efforts is always a nice gesture - all of that coursework and those exams are hard work! (Although granted, sometimes the hard work is due to too much procrastination in the early days... but still!)

Scribbler's have some fun, personalised cards available, one for each type of graduate (I think I'd qualify for 'the shopaholic' card); *here are a few examples!

I'm baaaaaack! & Instagram (7)

Well, it feels like I've been away for a lot longer than week, but as I said in my last post, a little break and some time to myself is just what I needed to clear my little muddled head. Feeling under the weather over the past few months, having a lot of work on and unfortunately losing my little Sandy last week was just too much, but I'm feeling much better now and I'm back! And it's a good job too because i have a loooot of social media admin to catch up on....

And as always with my little breaks, I have a few new ideas which I will be trialling in the near future, but I won't go into detail just yet...

In the meantime, here is what I have been getting up to lately, told through the power of Instagram (although this is kind of brief too; I also had an Instagram break!)

Long Island Ice Tea... served in a teapot and mugs!

More rain...

I finally bought the pretty hardback version!

@ultimatecoddy doing a bit of DIY ready for our...

... pretty new lamp! New purchase from Dunelm Mill.

And more purchases, I love hoe well these match our wallpaper!

My hometown of Cleethorpes! And a lovely photo of my Dad and Sandy which appeared in the Grimsby Telegraph.

My little Sandy x

On Monday night, we had to say goodbye for the last time to our amazing family pet of 14 years, Sandy.

 1st February 2008 - me aged 18 and Sandy aged 10.

I wrote a long, heart-felt post and posted it yesterday afternoon but felt it was too soon, so I took it down. I have it saved so I am sure I will share it with you all one day. I think that I am going to take a little bit of a break from blogging too - its something I've thought about for the past couple of weeks but now I know I need a few days off. So, if I am quiet, it's just because I'm remembering the good times. I miss her already!

Rest in peace my little Sandy Dog! x

My Pinteresting Three Weeks! (11)

A late post - I know, I know, I'm slacking a bit again! But I've had a bit of a rollercoaster weekend, spending time with family and just generally being a little absent from the online world; I think we all need a little bit of time to ourselves sometimes...

Any whooo, I've still been having a little browse on Pinterest here and there, so here is a very quick look at what I've been pinning!

Firstly, those delicious but oh so naught foods!

More funnies on the 'Randoms' board...

Fashion and accessories - from corals and pastels to golds metallics, love!

I found this on the Beauty boards - very dramatic...

And finally, places I need to visit at some point in my life.

I promise I will be back to my obsessive blogging/tweeting/instagramming self soon, starting with this week's recipe and skincare posts coming soon...

I had a little peek at their shoe collection and I must admit, a few certainly caught my eye! Loving Peplum

As I said in this blog post a few weeks, 80s fashion seems to be making a comeback - the next trend is peplum! My initial thoughts were 'I'm not going to be keen on this' but then, I saw something that got me thinking...

Image sourced from here.

I know that Cheryl's jacket isn't peplum so to speak, but when I saw her music video for 'Call my Name' one day, I thought that this jacket gave her a lovely, slightly more curvaceous silhouette. I happened to need a nice, summer jacket to go with my outfit for a friend's wedding next month, and so I thought I'd have a little look for this style (but then I realised it wasn't peplum!) Anyway, I found this on the Missguided site and I can't wait to break it out this summer - that's if we actually get one...

Then on Saturday, I faced a dress dilemma; the beauty I had bought for my friend's hen weekend didn't fit, and I needed one ASAP! So good old New Look came to the rescue with this little pink number.

Cameo Rose blush pink peplum dress - £22.99, New Look.

I personally think this is a very flattering style whatever your shape; if you are quite slim, it can add a bit of shape to your hips, but if you are curvy, it accentuates them in a very flattering way. Luckily there are loads of different pieces available at the minute - here are just a few...

Daisy neckline peplum dress - £50, Lipsy

Embellished collar peplum top - £32, Topshop.

Lace peplum top in purple - £35 Oasis
at House of Fraser

Lilac peplum mini skirt - £16.99, New Look

Strapless sequin peplum dress in gold -
£65 now £52, TFNC at House of Fraser

Tammy mesh top peplum dress in turquoise -
£15, boohoo.com

White peplum top with 3/4 length peplum sleeves -
£21, Lavish Alice
