Emma, the salon's owner, has created a very welcoming, open environment to provide hairstyling, nail and eyebrow treatments. After having my hair washed with Wella Professional products (and a little scalp massage), hairstylist Jenny got work, starting hair mousse and a blow dry.
Next came the curling...
And the result...
I absolutely loved it! My hair felt so light and the curls lasted into the next day - something I can never achieve myself.
To help me with voluminous hair in the future, Jenny told me her top tips. They are:
- hair mousse, which is a must for people with fine hair as it adds much-needed grip and lift
- a good round brush
- lots of hairspray, and use it before and after curling to keep the style intact
- rollers - it is one of the easiest way for people with fine hair to achieve lasting volume
Next up, beauty therapist Stacey, gave me a quick file polish before I went on my way. The salon uses Jessica polishes, and I chose the shade Nutter Butter, a dark nude polish with a lovely shimmer.
I have to say that this is the first professional polish I have had hasn't chipped the next day - four days later and my nails are only just starting to look worn - very impressed with this, much like my new hair.
Xsalonce is located on Trinity Road, very close to the heart of Cleethorpes, and I highly recommend them for a spot of pampering. For more information about the treatments they have to offer, visit Xsalonce's Facebook page.
